The FONDEMA Foundation works towards a renewed dialogue between Europe and the southern Mediterranean shore and Africa.

About Us

"We continue to foster economic and cultural development across national boundaries through various cultural and trade events. To further these aims, FONDEMA welcomes and appreciates contributions from like-minded individuals and organisations."

- Ahmed Saouli-Dehili, President,  FONDEMA Founders’ Joint Statement

Business & Cultural Exchange North/South

FONDEMA was founded to increase mutual understanding between North and South.  Its founders, Mr. Ahmed Saouli-Dehili and Mrs. Eveline J. A. America, have the mission to foster economic and cultural cooperation with partners from Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

FONDEMA's foresight and relevance today is highlighted in the key findings of the 2014 'Anna Lindh Report on Intercultural Trends and Social Change’, which states that mutual interest in economics and culture between northern and southern Mediterranean neighbours continues to increase.  (To access the Anna Lindh Report 2014, go to: .)

We engage in a rich variety of activities that promote exchange:

  • Commercial networking and facilitation of sustainable trade and joint initiatives;
  • Promotion of conferences, debates, seminars and workshops;
  • Organisation of international cultural and artistic programmes (e.g. exhibitions, performances).

The Foundation is composed of the following bodies:

Board of Trustees

Scientific and Artistic Council
