The FONDEMA Foundation works towards a renewed dialogue between Europe and the southern Mediterranean shore and Africa.

If you want to acquire experience…

Foundation FONDEMA is quickly expanding and welcomes more interns to assist with new and ongoing activities. We offer the opportunity to work in an international environment in the prominent setting of The Hague. Conveniently located in sight of the famous Peace Palace, we are part of and surrounded by the mosaic of non-governmental organisations that operate in the city, relating on a daily basis with embassies, municipalities, and other notable institutions.

The goal of our internship is to provide insights into the workings of a non-governmental organisation, facilitate opportunities for professional contacts, and equip interns with marketable skills for jobs and graduate programs in international relations and not-for-profit management. We provide hands-on experience in the management of a young Foundation, where English is the primary working language for staff members from very diverse backgrounds. Other useful languages for daily operations include French and Arabic.

Our shared office space will allow interns to witness all aspects of administration, from development to project coordination to public relations, and to gain experience through close guidance and clearly-defined duties. They will be completely integrated into the daily functions of the Foundation and considered vital members of our staff. They will participate in meetings as well as special events, and will access events and workshops organised in the building for NGO operators.
